(1) Variety origin: Jinyou 2248 is a medium-maturing medium indica hybrid rice combination developed by the Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, using Jin 23A and 2248 in a cross. (2) Characteristics: This combination has a growth period of 147 days, a plant height of 110 cm, an average of 130 grains per panicle, a seed-setting rate above 80%, and a 1000-grain weight of 27-28 g. It has a good plant and leaf type, strong tillering ability, erect leaves, and a relatively dark leaf color.
