In 1999 and 2000, it took part in the provincial regional trials, where its yield ranked first and second among the tested varieties; in 2000, our city introduced it for trial planting, growing 2.4 mu as a single-season crop, with an average yield of 469 kg per mu, 3% higher than Zhe Nongda 454. Characteristics 5xw-67 is a conventional rice variety bred by the Crop Research Institute of the Ningxia Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences. It participated in the National Northern Rice Regional Trial from 2000 to 2001. In the 2000 preliminary trial, the average yield was 692.0 kg/667 sq m, an 11.4% increase over the control Qiuguang, not significant. In the 2001 continued trial, the average yield was 692.3 kg/667 sq m, an 8.7% increase over the control Qiuguang, reaching a significant level. In the 2001 production trial, the average yield was 704.5 kg/667 sq m, an 18.7% increase over the control Qiuguang. The average whole growth period over the two years of regional trials was 154.7 days, 3.2 days later maturing than the control. Plant height 105.5 cm, total grains per panicle 134.4, filled grain rate 84.4%, 1000-grain weight 26.7 g. Seedling blast grade 3, leaf blast grade 0, panicle blast rate 0%-46%. Head rice rate 57.1%-56.6%, chalky grain rate 66%-46%, chalkiness degree 7.3%-4.6%, amylose content 16.2%-18.7%, gel consistency 81-90 mm. After two years of regional trials and one year of production trial, this variety showed a moderate maturity period, good yield performance, resistance to seedling blast and leaf blast, susceptibility to panicle blast, and medium grain quality.

(1) Variety source: This variety was developed by the Jiangyou City Rice Research Institute by crossing Jiangyu 80A with Jianghui 151.
