Precautions are a collection of the key points that need special attention during plant care, and they are especially important for ornamental flowers such as orchids. Orchids mostly have fleshy roots and are relatively sensitive to light, water, and environmental changes; any oversight in any one link may show up in the condition of the leaves and the overall growth. Therefore, understanding the relevant precautions in advance is the basic homework for growing orchids well.

In daily care, light and watering are the two links most prone to problems. Most orchids prefer diffused light and fear direct strong sunlight, so appropriate shading is needed in summer; watering follows the principle of letting the soil dry before watering again, because long-term moisture in the potting soil easily causes root rot, while long-term dryness makes the leaves turn yellow and lose color. At the same time, attention should also be paid to seasonal changes: keep them warm in winter, maintain ventilation during high-temperature periods, and keep temperature and humidity relatively stable so the plants can grow robustly.

Repotting and propagation also involve quite a few details. Repotting is best done after flowering or in spring and autumn, avoiding new roots as much as possible during the operation, with a moderate planting depth; after potting, place them in a shady spot to recover first, then gradually restore normal management. For cuttings or division propagation, grasp the timing well, keep tools clean, and treat wounds properly to avoid infection by pathogens that could affect survival.

In general, precautions run through the entire process of growing flowers, and the core lies in careful observation and following the plant's habits. Different orchid varieties differ in light needs, water needs, and cold tolerance, so before care it is best to first understand the characteristics of the corresponding variety, then flexibly adjust the management method according to the season, and deal with problems promptly so the flowers can continue to maintain good condition.
