Introduction to the Huangzeng Simiao No. 2 Rice Variety
Huangzeng Simiao No. 2 rice was developed by this city's Agricultural Science Institute, which independently undertook and completed the "High-Quality Rice Breeding Experimental Project" of the Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Commission, under the Ninth Five-Year Plan project No. "96-2-48-4". It was bred through conventional hybridization using a mixture of Aizhen Simiao Selection 8 and Zengxiangzhan varieties as the male parent, and a Xiangsimiao line as the female parent.
