Orchid pot selection doesn't need deep study; the growing medium structure and moisture control are what really matter
Whenever new orchid growers are just starting out, they are always thinking about what kind of flower pot to use for growing orchids. Thinking back to when I first started growing orchids, the orchid pots in my home were truly like a general store, with every kind of pot imaginable. At first, I used the very traditional and popular celadon ceramic pots of Chaoshan, and later I came to prefer purple clay pots. As the number of orchids increased, the jumble of pots made management inconvenient. In order to harmonize the many orchid pots in the orchid room so that drainage rates could be uniform, it became necessary to use pots of similar size, thickness, texture, and shape, so that when many orchid pots in the same room were watered at the same time, after the same period, each pot would dry at the same rate, or at least not differ too much. From today's perspective, this is relatively easy to achieve with plastic flower pots. Of course, some orchid growers, for ventilation and aesthetics, specially order or buy whole batches of purple clay pots or lightweight porcelain pots, but the cost is really quite high. Regarding plastic pots, many orchid growers have different views and feel they are not ventilated, but this is actually a misunderstanding.

Kerria Says Nothing but Longs: A Study of the Related Textual Research on Changdi and Tangdi
I first encountered kerria (Kerria japonica) on my third time joining the phenological observations of the Peking University Green Association. "So this is what kerria looks like! It is the plant used in the Book of Songs to symbolize brothers, isn't it?" Later I realized my memory was mistaken! What the Book of Songs refers to is "changdi," while "changdi" and "kerria" are two completely different plants. In addition, there are also "tangdi" and "tangdi" (written with different characters), and the four sound similar and look alike, and are often confused.

Study bonsai creates a miniature forest and spring by the desk, revealing natural elegance and refined charm within a square inch
Losing oneself in the mountains and wilds, strolling through sparse woods, accompanied by a lone tree, quietly listening to the sighing of pines - such was the leisure of the ancients, which people today may find hard to seek. If this scene were moved to the study for quiet appreciation, then even a knee-sized space would generate a feeling of clear expansiveness - what a joy. "Literati tree" bonsai perfectly suits this...

Asparagus fern is very beautiful; this year I will grow two more pots to place in the living room and the study.
Asparagus fern, also known as cloud-leaf bamboo, is actually not a bamboo at all, but a perennial vine belonging to the genus Asparagus in the lily family. Asparagus fern likes water, but too much water cannot be used. Too much moisture not only affects the respiration of the asparagus fern, but also makes the asparagus...
