The variety II You 98 (formerly named Kang You 98) of this application is an indica hybrid rice, belonging to the common cultivated rice species of the genus Oryza (Oryza sativa L.) in plant taxonomy. II You 98 was developed by crossing Taichung Native 1 (TN1) as the female parent with DV85 as the male parent to breed an intermediate resistance source TD whose main economic traits were improved but which still carries the Xa-7 gene; then TD was used as the female parent and Minghui 63 as the male parent for crossing and recurrent backcrossing, breeding a restorer line Kanghui 98 whose traits resemble those of Minghui 63 but which has good restoration ability and strong combining ability, and whose F1 test-crossed with II-32A has high resistance to bacterial blight; finally, II-32A was used as the female parent and Kanghui 98 as the male parent to produce II You 98 hybrid seeds for production use.

II You 725 is a new high-quality medium-maturing late-season hybrid rice combination bred by the Mianyang Agricultural Science Research Institute of Sichuan Province. In production, this combination shows characteristics such as large panicles with many grains, high yield potential, good grain quality, strong resistance and good adaptability. 1. High yield level In 1997, it participated in the Sichuan Province production trial, planted in different ecological zones of Chengdu, Weiyuan, Bazhong, Wusheng and Zhongjiang, with an average yield of 8.85 t/hm2, an increase of 8.57% over Shanyou 63; in 1997, it was planted as a demonstration on 40 hm2 in Jiepai Town, An County, and through multi-point yield measurement and acceptance, the yield reached 9.345 t/hm2, an increase of 13.78% over Shanyou 63. II You 3027 is a hybrid late indica rice bred by the Institute of Nuclear Agricultural Sciences of Zhejiang University and the Jinhua City Seed Company. The average total growth period is 134.8 days.
=In the 1995-1996 two-year hybrid late indica rice regional trials in Jinhua City, the average yield per 667 m2 was 442.6 kg and 498.3 kg respectively. In the 1997 production trial, the average yield per 667 m2 was 422.8 kg, an increase of 7.9% over Shanyou 10. It is moderately resistant to rice blast, and its resistance to bacterial leaf blight is superior to that of Shanyou 10. -
