The Yellow Bekko Koi is a variety within the Bekko class of koi, with a yellow base color and moderately sized black spots scattered across its body. Together with the White Bekko and the Red Bekko, it belongs to the Bekko line; among them, the Yellow Bekko is relatively less common and has high ornamental value, making it popular with many koi enthusiasts.

In appearance, a high-quality Yellow Bekko Koi should have a bright, even base color, with clearly defined black spots mainly concentrated along both sides of the back and evenly balanced left and right. The head usually carries no black spots or only a few sumi markings, and the pectoral fins should not have too much sumi either. If the black spots are too numerous and scattered, or the base color is dull, the ornamental effect is noticeably reduced.

As for keeping, the Yellow Bekko Koi has habits similar to other koi and prefers clean water with abundant dissolved oxygen. In daily care, pay attention to regular water changes, maintain the filtration system, keep the water temperature stable, and avoid drastic fluctuations in water quality. Feeding should be based mainly on special compound feed, which can be supplemented with a small amount of natural food; stick to fixed times and amounts, and adjust the feeding amount appropriately according to seasonal changes.

The Yellow Bekko Koi can also suffer from common koi diseases such as white spot disease, trichodina, and Lernaea (anchor worm). Normally, watch the fish's swimming behavior, body surface, and appetite for changes; if it scrapes against the tank, gasps at the surface, or shows abnormal spots on the body surface, isolate and treat it promptly. Quarantining new fish before they enter the pond and keeping the water clean in daily care can effectively reduce the chance of disease.
