Key Technical Points and Methods for Straw Mushroom Cultivation and Management
Straw mushroom is a type of fungal mushroom with a very good taste and extremely high nutritional value, which is why it is also very popular among many people. Nowadays, there are also many people growing straw mushrooms, and when growing straw mushrooms, management work is very important. So how should straw mushrooms be managed during cultivation? Today, the editor brings you the cultivation and management techniques for straw mushrooms. Let's take a look together below!

1. Temperature Control
Temperature is very important for the growth of straw mushrooms. About 4 days after planting straw mushrooms, attention should be paid to doing a good job of heat preservation. Later, as the temperature of the material surface rises, the film should be gradually opened to lower the temperature. It is appropriate to keep the material surface temperature at around 35 degrees, while the air temperature should be controlled at around 30 degrees. Then, as the straw mushrooms continue to grow, the temperature should also be properly adjusted. For example, during the fruiting body formation stage of straw mushrooms and the growth and development stage of the mushroom bodies, the material surface temperature should be controlled at around 30-35 degrees, while the air temperature should be maintained at around 28-32 degrees.
2. Humidity Control
Humidity is also an indispensable management task when cultivating straw mushrooms. Generally, humidity control should be carried out by combining irrigation and spraying. Before sowing straw mushrooms, the mushroom bed should first be thoroughly watered. Then, for several days after cultivation, attention should be paid not to uncover the film. The water content of the culture material should be maintained at around 70%, while the humidity in the mushroom house should be controlled at around 85%. If the humidity is too low, then water should be promptly irrigated into the furrows. However, it should be noted that when irrigating, the material blocks must not be allowed to get wet, and when spraying water, water must not be sprayed onto the material surface.
Then, during the fruiting stage of straw mushrooms, the relative humidity in the air should be maintained at around 90%. Usually, water should be irrigated into the furrows of the mushroom bed to keep the mushroom bed in a moist state, while also maintaining the water content of the culture material. The best way to maintain air humidity is to spray water into the air, and the water sprayed should mainly be clean water. Attention should be paid to controlling the water temperature well, keeping it close to the air temperature, and focusing on light and frequent spraying. Water must not be sprayed directly onto the material blocks, especially during the budding stage of straw mushrooms, when spraying water onto the mushroom buds is prohibited.
3. Ventilation and Light
During the mycelial growth stage of straw mushrooms, the demand for oxygen is relatively low. During the fruiting stage, however, it is relatively high, so attention should be paid to doing a good job of ventilation. However, ventilation should not be too rapid; allowing slow convection is sufficient. Ventilation during the fruiting stage should also be combined with moisture retention. Specifically, during the mycelial growth stage, part of the plastic film should be lifted open every day at noon, and then the mushroom shed should be opened for about a quarter of an hour. After the mycelium has fully covered the surface, the plastic film should be completely removed. Then, during ventilation in the fruiting stage, spraying should be done first before ventilation, and ventilation should last about 20 minutes, about three times a day. Finally, light should mainly be scattered light, and it must not be exposed to direct sunlight.
