Cultivation methods and key technical points for facing heaven chili
Facing heaven chili is a variety of chili pepper and a perennial plant. The whole plant can be used as both medicine and food, and it has the effect of dispelling cold and promoting blood circulation. Although it is a variety of chili pepper, the methods of planting and propagation are not exactly the same, so the main purpose of this article is to introduce to everyone the specific methods of seed sowing and cutting propagation for facing heaven chili, so that after reading it you will know how to carry out the operations, with certain practical help.

I. Seed sowing and seedling cultivation
1. Disinfection and sprouting
For disinfection of the culture medium, the sand and gravel in the culture medium should be washed and then sprayed with a chemical agent together with the soil for disinfection. Then the seeds should also be soaked for 20 minutes in a 600-fold dilution of 50% carbendazim for disinfection. Alternatively, before sprouting by clean weight, stir and soak them in 50°C hot water for about 8 minutes; if the time is too long, they are easily scalded. After disinfection, soak the seeds in warm water at about 25°C for 8 hours. After the seeds have absorbed enough water, remove them, wipe them dry, wrap them well in another wet cloth, and sprout them in a warm environment.
2. Sowing
Sow in the holes of the seedling tray, sowing 2 to 3 seeds per cell, and then cover with soil. Cover with 2 mm of soil, which is roughly a thin layer, just enough to completely cover the seeds. Then place the seedling tray in water to soak it, take it out, and put it in a greenhouse for warm cultivation.
3. Management
After sowing, maintenance and management must be carried out continuously, soaking or spraying water once a day, but be careful that irrigation does not wash the seeds out of the soil. After emergence, observe the emergence situation. After most seedlings have emerged, if you find cells with no emergence, you can sow again and use them as seedlings for later planting. After emergence is uniform, check for diseases, pull out diseased seedlings if any, and spray chemicals in time. Before transplanting, water thoroughly and try to transplant with nutrient soil.
II. Cutting propagation
1. Preparatory work
Use river sand, vermiculite, and humus soil mixed together as the growing medium. The sand and gravel should be washed and disinfected, and the soil should be sun-dried and decomposed before use. Prepare healthy, disease-free one-year-old green branches; cuttings from these root easily, or tip cuttings are best. Cultivate under a shade net, because the cuttings are afraid of high temperatures.
2. Cutting and management
Cover with a shade net to avoid strong light and lower the temperature. The temperature is best kept between 18 and 25°C. Spraying is needed to lower the temperature, about 5 times a day. The air humidity needs to be kept at about 75% to 85%. You can spray to increase air humidity, but do not spray on cloudy and rainy days, for fear that the humidity will be too high. Remove the shade net after 4 o'clock on sunny days, so that some weak light can be received to meet basic light needs. For transplanting, dig holes and transplant, and the holes can be filled with the same nutrient soil used during seedling cultivation.
The main cultivation methods for facing heaven chili are the above two. The article also explains the specific cultivation operation process and some precautions, but in actual cultivation more problems may appear, and they can be applied flexibly according to local conditions. I hope the above content is helpful to everyone.
