How to fertilize broccoli? Master the scientific fertilization method
Broccoli is a type of cauliflower, also called green cauliflower. Because broccoli is richer in nutritional value than ordinary cauliflower and its taste is also much better, broccoli's price and sales volume on the market are both higher than ordinary cauliflower. In order to increase broccoli yields, scientific fertilization during the broccoli growing process is very important. So today let us learn about broccoli fertilization techniques together.

1. Base fertilizer
Before broccoli is transplanted, sufficient base fertilizer needs to be applied first, and the most commonly used base fertilizers are farmyard manure and organic fertilizer. When applying base fertilizer, one principle we must note is heavy application - it must be applied in sufficient quantity, with the amount per mu generally controlled at around two thousand to two thousand five hundred kg. Besides farmyard manure, compound fertilizer, urea and phosphorus-potassium fertilizer also need to be used appropriately. Farmyard manure can be used together with New High Lipid Film, which can improve fertilizer efficiency. Finally, the base fertilizer must be mixed evenly with the soil, so as to avoid the fertilizer's strength dissipating and being lost.
2. Seedling fertilizer
About one week after broccoli is transplanted, the seedlings will basically grow new roots and new leaves. At this time, seedling fertilizer needs to be applied as a top dressing, to restore the seedlings' growth. Seedling fertilizer is generally mainly urea, used together with a small amount of potassium fertilizer. For each mu, generally prepare about six jin of urea and five jin of potassium fertilizer, mix with water in a certain ratio and then irrigate, which can dilute the fertilizer concentration and at the same time help the nutrients be absorbed and used by the broccoli seedlings.
3. Growth fertilizer
About twenty days after the broccoli seedlings are transplanted, top dressing needs to be carried out again, to promote broccoli growth, bring it into the budding stage as early as possible, and improve the broccoli plants' growth, so it is called growth fertilizer. Growth fertilizer is generally applied as top dressing by digging shallow furrows and burying it, mainly using ternary compound fertilizer as the top dressing, with the amount per mu controlled at around forty jin. Of course we can also use the hole application method, but with hole application it is mainly water-soluble fertilizer, and the amount only needs to be controlled at around ten to twenty jin.
4. Budding fertilizer
When broccoli begins to bud, budding fertilizer needs to be applied as top dressing in good time. During this period the main fertilizer type is still nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium ternary compound fertilizer, but the amount of potassium fertilizer used needs to be appropriately increased, and at the same time foliar feeding also needs to be coordinated. The amount of ternary compound fertilizer used per mu is generally around forty jin, and the amount of potassium fertilizer is about ten jin. Foliar feeding is mainly top dressing with trace element fertilizer; according to the specific situation, supplement trace element fertilizer, which can effectively improve broccoli's yield and quality.
5. Later top dressing
Later top dressing is mainly to promote the enlargement of broccoli buds, and also to be applied after each harvest of broccoli, which can promote the growth of new buds and is very effective at raising broccoli's yield and quality. The method, amount and type of fertilizer for later top dressing are basically the same as for budding fertilizer; the only thing to note is that foliar fertilizer needs to be sprayed appropriately, to prevent the plants from aging and causing a reduction in yield.
During the broccoli growing process, top dressing is generally carried out according to these few steps, and its fertilization method is mainly related to its growth characteristics, fertilizer requirements and soil fertility. The introduction of the fertilization techniques above is relatively simple, but it is also easy to understand, and I hope everyone's planting later on goes more smoothly.
