Corn prices stable in producing areas, higher at northern and southern ports, mold appears in Northeast
Daily Grain and Oil, November 15 news: COFCO Yushu announced on November 15 that starting at 10:00 today, it will add a purchase price for fourth-grade wet corn. The current purchase prices are 1440 yuan/ton for grade two and above, 1420 yuan/ton for grade three, and 1400 yuan/ton for grade four.
Overall, corn prices in producing areas remained stable today. However, prices at northern and southern ports rose slightly.
Among them,Jinzhou PortThe mainstream purchase price for new grain at 15% moisture or below is 1625 yuan/ton, up 5 yuan/ton from yesterday. Heilongjiang grain is 1600 yuan-1610 yuan/ton, and the mainstream price for wet grain at 30% moisture is 1310 yuan/ton. Old grain is priced according to quality.Bayuquan PortThe purchase unit price for new grain is 1570-1640 yuan/ton, with the mainstream price for Liaoning and Jilin grain at 1605-1610 yuan/ton (700 test weight), and Longjiang grain at 1590-1600 yuan/ton; prices have rebounded somewhat.Guangdong PortNew grain is 1830-1850 yuan/ton, with some up about 10 yuan/ton from yesterday.
In addition, as corn purchasing progresses, some institutions have again released news about subsidies for corn deep-processing enterprises, arguing that once subsidies are issued they will further stimulate the purchasing enthusiasm of corn deep-processing enterprises and promote price increases. But according to information collected by Daily Grain and Oil,corn deep-processing enterprises currently have considerable profitability, with the national average processing profit reaching 114 yuan/ton, and the possibility of subsidies is expected to be low。

Regarding the current situation of new grain listing and purchasing, in yesterday's CCTV interview report on the autumn grain listing in Northeast China, Daily Grain and Oil noted that local grain brokers in Northeast China quoted farmers 0.5-0.53 yuan/jin (moisture should be around 30). Most farmers are currently holding back sales and waiting to see, and the corn cobs have not been well stored; in the footage it can be seen thatsome corn has already become moldy。
In other respects, regarding Sinograin recently opening warehouses in Northeast China to purchase grain, some analysis says its standards are extremely strict (only dry grain is purchased, with moisture below 15%), and at the current stage ordinary farmers cannot meet the required standards; only drying towers can do so. In terms of purchase volume, it is expected not to exceed 1 million tons, and with daily purchases of 500 tons, the impact on the market will be extremely limited and will not change the current slight fluctuation trend of corn.
