The yield rates of premium and first-grade products of this line are 24.1% and 29.3% respectively, which are 2.5 and 4.2 percentage points higher than the control respectively; its resistance to root disease is relatively strong, with an average root disease incidence rate of 6% and a disease index of 2.4%, which are 0.7 and 0.4 percentage points lower than the control respectively; its premature bolting rate is relatively low, averaging 19%, which is 1.3 percentage points lower than the control. In the 2001-2003 Dingxi City Angelica sinensis line regional trial, the converted average yield of fresh Angelica sinensis was 11518.5 kg/hm2, an increase of 19.4% over the control variety (local field-grown seed); from 2001-2004, multi-point trial demonstrations were carried out in Minxian, Zhangxian, Weiyuan, Longxi and other places, with an average yield of 7731 kg/hm2, an increase of 19.8% over the control. The growth period of this line is 780 days, the plant height at the medicinal material stage is 36 cm, at the seed-setting stage it is 120 cm, the stem is purple, the spread is 61 cm, the 1000-seed weight of the seed fruit is about 1.9 g, the root system is yellow-white, the root length at the medicinal material stage is 43 cm, and the rhizome head diameter is 2-6 cm.

According to identification and analysis by the Gansu Provincial Institute for Drug Control: the characteristics and microscopic features of the new Gansu Angelica sinensis line 90-01 all conform to the regulations, with total ash 5.0%, acid-insoluble ash 0.6%, and extractives 58.8%, and the quality is significantly superior to the standard specified in the "Chinese Pharmacopoeia" (2000 edition).

II. Economic Benefits: From 2001-2004, the cumulative promoted area was 10,790 hm2, the total increase in fresh Angelica sinensis was 13.7853 million kg, and the total new net income was 30.0305 million yuan.

III. Suitable Areas: Cultivated in semi-shaded areas and high-cold humid ecological areas at an altitude of 2000-2600 m with annual precipitation of 500-600 mm.
