Characteristics: This variety is a japonica three-line hybrid rice. When grown in southern Liaoning, southern Xinjiang, and the Beijing-Tianjin region, its full growth period is 155.2 days, 2 days later maturing than the control Jinzhu 1. Plant height is 106.2 cm, total grains per panicle 143.2, seed-setting rate 84.6%, and 1000-grain weight 26.9 g. Rice blast disease grade 3. Main rice quality indicators: head rice rate 66.9%, chalky rice rate 61%, chalkiness degree 16.9%, gel consistency 82 mm, amylose content 16.3%.
Yield performance: In 2001, it participated in the Jinzhu 1 group regional trial in the northern rice region, with an average yield of 695 kg per mu, 13.1% higher than the control Jinzhu 1 (highly significant); in the 2002 continuation trial, the average yield was 686.7 kg per mu, 9.2% higher than the control Jinzhu 1 (not significant); the two-year regional trial average yield was 690.9 kg per mu, 11.1% higher than the control Jinzhu 1. In the 2003 production trial, the average yield was 592 kg per mu, 0.4% higher than the control Jinzhu 1.
Key cultivation techniques: 1. Sowing: sow at the same time as Jinzhu 1 according to local planting practices; 2. Transplanting: planting spacing of 33.3 x 16.6 cm, or use wide-ridge double-row (40 + 26.6) x 16.6 cm, with 3-4 seedlings per hill; 3. Fertilizer and water management: apply 45 kg ammonium sulfate, 15 kg diammonium phosphate, and 10 kg potassium sulfate per mu, applied in stages; water management should alternate shallow, dry, and wet conditions, drain the field when the tiller number is sufficient, and do not cut off water too early in the later stage; 4.
