Detailed introduction to the Liuyou 105 rice variety

(1) Variety source: This variety is a medium indica early-maturing variety bred by the Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, using 613A as the female parent and Mingshen 105 as the male parent.

(2) Characteristics: Strong growth vigor at the seedling stage, compact and moderate plant type, erect flag leaves, medium tillering, uniform heading, and good color change in the later stage. The average number of grains per panicle is about 150, the seed-setting rate is 80-81%, the 1000-grain weight is 28-30 grams, the grains are transparent, and the taste is good. The whole growth period is 151 days, 4.2 days longer than the control Shanzhai 8. Resistance identification: neck blast grade 1-5.

(3) Yield performance: This combination participated in the provincial regional trial from 1994-1995. The two-year average yield was 437.5 kg per mu, an increase of 3.32% over the control Shanzhai 8. In the 1996 production test, the average yield was 576 kg per mu, an increase of 11.3% over the control.

(4) Cultivation points: Sow in mid-April, transplant 21,000-25,000 hills per mu, with 100,000-120,000 basic seedlings per mu. In cultivation, apply heavy basal fertilizer and early topdressing, and appropriately increase phosphate fertilizer.

(5) Suitable planting areas: Suitable for planting in the basin-peripheral areas of our province and in triple-cropping areas such as rice-wheat-vegetable.
