(1) Variety source: A glutinous hybrid rice combination developed by the Provincial Institute of Nuclear Application Technology and Chongzhou City Seed Company by crossing the self-bred male sterile line N2A with the restorer line 1)091. (2) Characteristics: The full growth period is 147 days, 0.5 days later maturing than the control Jingnuo No. 6. Plant height is 115 cm, with medium tillering ability, dark green leaf color, compact plant type, purple-red leaf margins, short internodes at the stem base, and a total of 15 leaves on the main stem. Panicle length is 22.25 cm, with 160 grains per panicle, and a seed setting rate of 90

Panicle length is 22.25 cm, with 160 grains per panicle, and a seed setting rate of 90.8%. Late-stage color change is good, and the grain length-to-width ratio is 2:1; 1000-grain weight is 29.6 g, the rice grain is milky white and opaque, containing 8.5% protein, 3.4% crude fat, 2.04% amylose, gelatinization temperature cC, gel consistency 82mm, and brown rice rate 74.65.

(3) Yield performance: In the 1995-1996 provincial regional trial, the two-year average yield was 480.3 ks/mu, a 5.7% increase over the control Jingnuo No. 6. In 1997, in production trials in three different ecological zones, the yield per mu was 545.6 kg, a 64.3% increase over local glutinous rice. It was 4.1% lower than the control Shanyou 63.

(4) Cultivation points: In northwest Sichuan, sowing is suitable from late March to early April; in southeast Sichuan, sowing in late March. A seeding rate of 10 kg per mu is suitable, with a seedling age of about 45 days, 20,000 hills per mu, 120,000-140,000 basic seedlings, and 130,000-140,000 effective panicles. Fertilization should emphasize a heavy basal application, early topdressing, and later supplementation, with combined application of N, P, and 9.

(5) Suitable planting areas: Areas with light or no rice blast disease.
