Methods and Technical Key Points for Controlling the Two Migratory Rice Pests
Control recommendation
For single-cropping rice, carry out one comprehensive control treatment from July 13-15, targeting mainly the rice leaf roller and the white-backed planthopper, and also controlling the small brown planthopper and rice thrips. Pesticide formulations: 1. Use 40-50 ml of 5% fipronil (Regent) suspension concentrate per mu; 2. Use 70-80 ml of 31% fipronil-triazophos (Sanfu) per mu; 3. Use 100 ml of 50% phenthoate per mu; 4. Use 50 ml of 40% chlorpyrifos (Xinnongbao, Saiben) per mu plus 2 g of 80% fipronil (Regent) water-dispersible granules; 5. Use 80 ml of 30% triazophos-chlorpyrifos (Fuzongning) per mu plus 20-30 ml of 5% fipronil (Regent) suspension concentrate. Choose any one of the above formulations, add 40 g of 10% imidacloprid (Damuzhi, Bidan) per mu, and spray with 30 kg of water. When applying, add "Jiexiaoli" adjuvant to improve control efficacy.
Precautions
1. Apply the pesticide in the morning or evening after the dew has dried. If rain occurs after application and control efficacy is poor, carry out follow-up treatment immediately.
2. Spray quality is key for controlling the rice leaf roller; the finer the spray, the better the effect. Power sprayers provide a better misting effect; if a manual sprayer is used with a single 1 mm nozzle for ultra-fine spraying, the amount of water used can be appropriately reduced.
3. Use the above pesticide formulations alternately to avoid resistance caused by long-term use of the same pesticide. At the same time, pyrethroid pesticides are prohibited in rice fields.
4. Fipronil (Regent) is highly toxic to @#@255@#@, shrimp and crabs. Pay attention to application safety, and during application, pay attention to the safety of silkworms and mulberry trees.
