Approval status: Approved by the Guangdong Provincial Crop Variety Approval Committee, and recognized by the National Crop Variety Approval Committee in 1991.

Variety registration number: GS01006-l990.

Variety source: Wanqing / Qinglan // Huazhu'ai.

Characteristics: A photosensitive late-maturing late indica variety. Plant height 90-96 cm, sturdy stems, narrow and erect leaves, medium tillering ability, 230,000 effective panicles per mu, 94-130 grains per panicle, 1000-grain weight 20.7-21.5 g, good grain quality. Growth period 138-141 days. Strong stress resistance, highly resistant to bacterial leaf blight, relatively wind-resistant, cold-tolerant, salt-alkali tolerant, wide adaptability, relatively late maturity, slightly more black-hulled grains. Average yield about 350 kg per mu.

Cultivation points: Sowing rate 20-30 kg per mu, seedling age about 40 days, ensure 200,000-230,000 effective panicles per mu, adopt the fertilization principle of "promoting early growth, controlling mid-stage growth, and supplementing at the late stage" and the irrigation method of "shallow water early, exposing the field mid-stage, and moist soil late stage."

Suitable range: Planting in Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan provinces, especially suitable for planting in coastal areas where bacterial leaf blight frequently occurs.
