Key Field Fertilization Management Techniques for Schisandra chinensis Cultivation
Schisandra chinensis is a medicinal plant with relatively high economic value. Currently, the Schisandra chinensis sold on the market is mainly wild, with very little cultivated artificially. At the same time, the market demand for Schisandra chinensis is very large, and the price is relatively stable. Collecting wild Schisandra chinensis alone is far from enough to meet market demand, so artificial cultivation of Schisandra chinensis is being developed in many regions.
Cultivating Schisandra chinensis is different from general field crops, and there are relatively strict requirements for fertilizer use. After transplanting and surviving, the soil for Schisandra chinensis should be kept moist. During drought, irrigation should be done in time. Irrigate once every year before freezing to help overwintering. Before freezing in autumn, apply one application of decomposed organic farmyard manure (use 500-700 kg of farmyard manure per mu, which must be decomposed with Jinbaobei microbial fermentation agent, then add about 20 kg of Jinbaobei microbial bacterial fertilizer, mix evenly and apply). This saves a lot of cost compared with applying 2000-3000 kg of farmyard manure per mu, but the effect is far better than applying farmyard manure alone. Apply quick-acting fertilizer once in mid-May and once in mid-July each year. Apply in furrows and irrigate.
The Schisandra chinensis fruits cultivated and harvested by the above method are large and uniform, the yield is significantly increased, the quality is improved, the medicinal effect is good, and the disease resistance of the plants is enhanced (resistance to leaf blight, root rot and fruit rot). It also greatly reduces planting costs, and farmers get real benefits.
