Characteristics: Plant height about 105 cm. At the seedling stage, leaves are broad, thick and dark green, the root system is well developed, tillering ability is extremely strong, and the stems are slightly slender with good flexibility. The plant type is compact, the panicle is semi-loose, and panicle length is 16-18 cm. Each panicle has 80-90 filled grains, 1000-grain weight 24.5 g, glumes yellow-white, with extremely sparse short white awns. Brown rice rate 82.4%, milled rice rate 76.4%, head rice rate 73.5%, chalkiness rate 2.8%, chalkiness degree 0.1%, transparency grade 1, crude protein 8.79%, amylose content 17.99%, gel consistency 76 mm, gelatinization temperature grade 7. Its eating quality is good and palatable, rice quality is excellent, the main indicators of rice quality reach the ministerial first-grade standard, and it has good yield potential. In the Shenyang area, the whole growth period is about 160 days. It is moderately resistant to rice blast and bacterial leaf blight, slightly susceptible to rice false smut, and lightly affected by sheath blight. From 1996 to 1997, it participated in the northern rice region regional trial; the two-year average yield was 474.8 kg per mu, 7.9% higher than the control. In 1998, the northern rice region production trial average yield was 584.11 kg per mu, 11.7% higher than the control.
Cultivation points: After seed disinfection, sow in early April, ventilate and harden seedlings in good time, and cultivate strong seedlings. Row spacing 30 cm x 13.2 cm or 30 cm x 16.5 cm, with 2-3 seedlings per hill. Apply 55-65 kg of standard nitrogen fertilizer per mu, 10 kg of diammonium phosphate, 15 kg of potassium fertilizer, and 1-1.5 kg of zinc fertilizer. Adopt the irrigation principle of combining shallow water and wetting, and do not cut off water too early in the later stage; generally it is advisable to drain water about 10 days before harvest.
