Honeysuckle, formerly known as Japanese honeysuckle, also called silver flower, honeysuckle flower, or double flower, is a twining vine of the Caprifoliaceae family. The county has developed a honeysuckle base of 60,000 mu. Because the base farmers manage extensively and supporting technologies have not kept up, especially pest and disease control management, the yield of honeysuckle is low and the quality is poor. According to a survey by the county plant protection station, honeysuckle pests and diseases occur relatively commonly in our county, among which honeysuckle powdery mildew, brown spot disease, aphids and red spiders are relatively serious in occurrence and damage. At present, it is the best period for controlling honeysuckle powdery mildew, brown spot disease, aphids and red spiders and other pests and diseases

I. Control principles

In accordance with the plant protection policy of "prevention first, integrated control", with agricultural control as the foundation, adopt agricultural measures, scientifically use high-efficiency, low-toxicity and low-residue pesticides, comprehensively apply various control measures, maintain the balance of the agricultural ecosystem and biodiversity, and reduce losses caused by pests and diseases.

II. Control methods

(1) Powdery mildew: breed disease-resistant varieties, plant at a reasonable density, shape and prune, and improve ventilation conditions; evenly spray with 15% triadimefon wettable powder at 800 times dilution, once every 7 days, for 2 to 3 consecutive sprays.

(2) Brown spot disease: clear diseased plants and diseased and disabled branches, and burn them in a centralized manner to reduce disease transmission; evenly spray with 70% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder at 600 times dilution, once every 7 days, for 2 to 3 consecutive sprays.

(3) Aphids: remove weeds, and burn or bury dead branches and rotten leaves in the field in a centralized manner; evenly spray with Jindadi (10% imidacloprid wettable powder) at 1500 times dilution, once every 5-7 days, for 2 to 3 consecutive applications; the last application must be carried out 10-15 days before picking honeysuckle.

(4) Red spiders: prune diseased and dead branches, clear fallen leaves and dead branches and burn them; spray with 30% Manwoduan emulsifiable concentrate at 1000 times dilution or 5% Kedaman emulsifiable concentrate at 2000 times dilution for control.
