Yuxiangyou No. 2 is a new two-line hybrid rice combination developed by the Rice Research Institute of Fengle Seed using the broad-compatibility restorer line Fengxianghui No. 1 with Guangzhan 63s. It has good cooking quality; the cooked rice is aromatic, fluffy and delicious. During cultivation, sufficient basic seedlings must be transplanted, basal fertilizer and panicle fertilizer must be applied heavily, and water should not be cut off too early in the late stage; keep alternating wet and dry conditions until it yellow-ripens at maturity.

The hybrid combination has a whole growth period of 141 days, strong tillering ability, plant height 130.2 cm, total grains per panicle 263.6, seed-setting rate 76.6%, and 1000-grain weight 25.6 g. Main advantages: moderate maturity and purity safety. By using a male-sterile line with a bentazon-sensitive lethal gene marker in the combination, if abnormal self-pollination contamination occurs, a paddy field herbicide can be applied at the seedling stage of the hybrid seeds to selectively kill the selfed seedlings of the male-sterile line, ensuring the field production purity of the hybrid rice.
