Detailed Introduction to the Zhongshu No. 3 Potato Variety
Variety source: 'Zhongshu No. 3' potato is a new variety developed in recent years by the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Characteristics: early maturing, can be harvested 60 days after emergence, plant height about 60 cm, upright plant type, few branches, strong growth vigor. Each plant sets 3-5 tubers, tuber set is concentrated, tubers are medium in size and uniform, the rate of large and medium tubers can reach more than 90%, tuber starch content 14%, reducing sugar content 0.3%, good eating quality. The plant is relatively resistant to viral diseases, but not resistant to late blight.
