Detailed introduction to the rice variety Fuyou 802

(1) Variety source: This variety is a medium-maturity hybrid combination of medium indica rice developed by the Institute of Biotechnology and Nuclear Technology, Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, by crossing the male sterile line Fu 74A with the restorer line Chuanhui 802.

(2) Characteristics: This combination has vigorous growth, strong tillering ability, good plant and leaf type, and good color conversion in the later stage. The whole growth period is about 146 days, 6-7 days longer than the control Shanyou 195. The plant height is 109.4 cm, the effective panicles per mu are about 180,000, the panicle length is 24.0 cm, the average number of grains per panicle is 148.2, the seed setting rate is 81.4%, and the 1000-grain weight is about 28.0 g. The brown rice rate is 81.55%. The milled rice rate is 70.04%, the head rice rate is 53.59%, and the rice quality is medium. Identification of rice blast resistance: leaf blast grade 5-8, neck blast grade 0-7, and the resistance to rice blast is stronger than that of the control.

(3) Yield performance: From 1995 to 1996, it participated in the regional trial of the medium indica medium-maturity group in Sichuan Province. The two-year average yield per mu was 537.14 kg, an increase of 10.90% over the control.

(4) Cultivation points: Use heat-preserving seedling raising or dry seedling raising, with a seedling age of about 45 days, transplant 15,000-17,000 hills per mu, and about 100,000 basic seedlings per mu. Apply heavy basal fertilizer and topdress early, and pay attention to the combined application of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers.
