Processing and cooking quality are good, and appearance quality is above average. In 2003, tested by the Rice Testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, 8 indicators reached the Ministry-issued second-grade high-quality rice standard. Field performance showed moderate resistance to rice blast and resistance to bacterial leaf blight. In 2003, it participated in the mid-late high-yield group regional trial in Sichuan Province, with an average yield of 565.70 kg per mu, an increase of 8.79% over the control Shanyou 63, ranking first; it participated in the national lower Yangtze mid-season indica late-maturing high-quality B group regional trial, with an average yield of 525.34 kg per mu, an increase of 7.76% over the control Shanyou 63, ranking second; in 2004, in a trial production planting as early rice in Guangxi, the yield reached 832.5 kg per mu, ranking first among the tested varieties; it participated in the national upper Yangtze regional trial, with an average yield of 632.36 kg per mu, an increase of 10.6% over the control; and it participated in the Sichuan Province production trial with an average yield of 643 kg per mu, an increase of 13.6% over the control Shanyou 63.

Cultivation Points: In production, timely sowing is required, vigorous multi-tiller seedlings should be cultivated, the seeding rate is 1.5 kg per mu, reasonable close planting should be used with 15,000-20,000 hills per mu, formula fertilization should be applied with heavy basal fertilizer and early topdressing, and disease and insect control should be carried out in a timely manner to strive for higher yields.
