"Fuyou No. 1" is a new super-high-yield hybrid rice combination bred using high technology, and it passed national certification in 2003 (upper and middle Yangtze River group). In the 2001 national regional trial, the average yield per mu was 612.5 kg, ranking second. In the continued trial in 2002, the average yield per mu was 597 kg, ranking first, with an average yield increase of 7.04% over the control across the two years. In 2003, it entered the national middle and lower Yangtze River group and Wuling Mountain area regional trials. In the past two years, the yield per mu in production trials was 600-800 kg, compared with the control in Hunan, Sichuan, Guangdong, Gua

In the continued trial in 2002, the average yield per mu was 597 kg, ranking first, with an average yield increase of 7.04% over the control across the two years. In 2003, it entered the national middle and lower Yangtze River group and Wuling Mountain area regional trials. In the past two years, the yield per mu in production trials was 600-800 kg, compared with the control. More than 10,000 mu were demonstrated and produced in Hunan, Sichuan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei, Guizhou, Shaanxi and other places, and the highest yield per mu was 857 kg in Jiangyang District, Luzhou City, Sichuan. When planted in Wuma Town, Renhuai City, Guizhou, it was 5-7 days later than "Fuyou 63", with a plant height of 118 cm, a panicle length of 24 cm, 168 grains per panicle, a seed-setting rate of 85%, and a 1000-grain weight of 28 g. It has a compact plant type, strong tillering ability, dark green leaves, a well-developed root system, thick stems, uniform heading, many effective panicles, relatively good resistance, strong adaptability, and medium grain quality.

The super-high-yield cultivation techniques for "Fuyou No. 1" are:

1. Sow at the right time and early, and use two-stage seedling raising. According to local altitude, temperature and water source conditions, sow as early as possible before Qingming, and carry out two-stage transplanting and seedling raising to grow strong seedlings and multi-branched seedlings.

2. Apply sufficient base fertilizer and level the paddy field. Generally, apply 1000-1500 kg of farmyard manure and 50 kg of compound fertilizer per mu, and at the same time level the land carefully.

3. Increase planting density and transplant enough basic seedlings. The transplanting density can be appropriately increased by 10-15% compared with locally planted varieties to ensure no fewer than 80,000-100,000 basic seedlings.

4. Pay attention to the combination of the three major nutrients nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and fertilize in a balanced way.

5. Pay attention to the prevention and control of pests and diseases. Before the seedlings in the seedling field are transplanted into the main field, prevent and control pests and diseases once, then observe and understand the disease index at any time and spray pesticides at the appropriate time.
