Edible Gardening 0 views
Boyou 122 is a weakly photoperiod-sensitive hybrid rice combination developed by the Rice Research Institute of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences by crossing Bo A with Guanghui 122. In the two years 1997-1998, it participated in the provincial late-season rice regional trial, with yields of 415kg/667m2 and 481kg/667m2 respectively. In 1997 it yielded 0.24% less than the control Boyou 64, and in 1998 it yielded 7.6% more than the control Boyou 903. Its rice appearance quality was rated as late-season rice grade 2. It is highly resistant to rice blast (overall population resistance ratio 93.38%, resistance ratio to the medium C group 92%)

The full growth period as late-season rice is 117 days. It has strong tillering ability, a plant type that is moderately compact and open, and moderate cold tolerance at the later stage.
