Characteristics: This variety is a japonica-type conventional dryland glutinous rice. In the Huang-Huai region under dry direct seeding after wheat harvest, the average whole growth period is 114 days, 4 days later maturing than the control Zhengzhou Zaojing. Plant height is 94.8 cm, the plant type is relatively compact, tillering ability is relatively strong, and yield stability is good. Panicle length is 19.4 cm, total grains per panicle is 101.2, seed setting rate is 82.2%, and 1000-grain weight is 24.5 g. Disease resistance: drought resistance grade 1, rice blast grade 3, narrow brown leaf spot grade 3. Main rice quality indicators: head rice rate 64.6%, length-to-width ratio 1.

Main rice quality indicators: head rice rate 64.6%, length-to-width ratio 1.8, gel consistency 100 mm, amylose content 1.59%.

Yield performance: In 2001, it participated in the regional trial of upland rice in the mid-late maturity group of the Huang-Huai-Hai wheat stubble rice region, with an average yield of 271.5 kg per mu, an increase of 8.4% over the control Zhengzhou Zaojing; in the 2002 continued trial, the average yield was 269.6 kg per mu, an increase of 5.8% over the control Zhengzhou Zaojing. In the 2003 production trial, the average yield was 300.4 kg per mu, an increase over the control Zhengzhou Zaojing and upland rice 277.

Key cultivation techniques: 1. Seed treatment: sun-dry before sowing and coat with seed dressing agent; 2. Sowing: level the land before sowing, apply 1000 kg of farmyard manure per mu, and apply 10 kg of diammonium phosphate, 10 kg of potassium sulfate, and 15 kg of ammonium sulfate as starter fertilizer with sowing. Both drilling and hill sowing are acceptable, with a sowing rate of 8-9 kg per mu. Row spacing 30 cm, sowing depth 2-3 cm, and press or tread the grid after sowing; 3. Chemical weed control: after emergence, use 0.25 kg of Kuai Sha Bai, 0.25 kg of 60% butachlor, and 0.25 kg of oxadiazon per mu, mixed with water and sprayed; 4. Field management: irrigate promptly in case of drought at the emergence, tillering, booting, and grain-filling stages, and apply about 10 kg of ammonium sulfate as topdressing at the jointing, booting to heading stages according to seedling condition; 5. Pest and disease control: pay attention to controlling rice false smut.

Approval opinion: Upon review, this variety meets the national rice variety approval standards and has passed approval. This variety has relatively strong drought resistance, moderate maturity, relatively high yield, good yield stability, moderate resistance to rice blast and narrow brown leaf spot, and good glutinous quality. It is suitable for dryland cultivation after wheat stubble or rapeseed stubble in the Huang-Huai region of Henan, Shandong, Anhui, and Jiangsu (except the Xuzhou area) and in southern Shaanxi.
