How is the rice variety Diyou 151?

(1) Variety source: It is a medium-maturing hybrid mid-season indica combination developed by Jiangyou City Seed Company using Digu A / Jianghui 151 (i.e. Gui 630 / IB9361-4-3-2).

(2) Characteristics: The growth period is 142 days, plant height is 104 cm, tillering ability is relatively strong, seedling growth is vigorous, and color transition in the late stage is smooth. Ratooning ability is relatively strong. Leaf blast and neck blast are both grade 0-3, with strong resistance to rice blast. There are 176,000 panicles per mu, 144 grains per panicle on average, seed setting rate is 84.8%, and 1000-grain weight is 27.43 g. Brown rice rate 80.2%, milled rice rate 73.4%, head rice rate 60.7%, and rice quality is relatively good.

(3) Yield performance: In 1994-1995, it participated in the provincial late-maturing mid-season indica Group B and medium-maturing mid-season indica group regional trials, with average yields of 549.7 and 514.6 kg per mu respectively, an increase of 1.32% over the control. In the two-year regional trial in Mianyang City, the yield was similar to that of Shanyou 63. In the 1996 production trial, the average yield was 525.93 kg per mu, an increase of 14.19% over the control Shanyou 195.
