How to carry out mid-season cultivation management of rice? Detailed technical measures for Eryuan County
From last autumn to June this year, Eryuan County experienced continuous drought and high-temperature weather, causing varying degrees of loss to small spring crops and preventing some large spring crops from being sown normally. The county agriculture bureau adopted various scientific and technological measures to actively respond to natural disasters such as the severe drought, striving to "compensate small spring losses with large spring gains" and achieve the annual production target. In rice production, it grasped key measures such as good seeds and good methods, dry seedling raising with sparse planting and shallow transplanting, soil testing and formula fertilization technology, precision quantitative cultivation technology, and high-yield creation. Scientific and technical personnel went deep into the front line of agricultural production, firmly grasped technical training, and strengthened the application rate of practical yield-increasing technologies. The county's 137,000 mu of rice was transplanted within the normal seasonal period. At present, the rice is growing well and evenly, laying the foundation for high yield. In view of the current growth and development progress, the following main management measures are proposed:
I. Management techniques for the tillering stage in the field
The management focus is: shallow-water transplanting, thin-water tillering, doing a good job in chemical weed control and early topdressing.
(1) After transplanting, the general water depth should be just enough to cover the mud. As the saying goes, one-cun water for green-up, thin water for tillering.
(2) Carry out chemical weed control in a timely manner according to field conditions. It is required to use 50 g/mu of barnyardgrass and weed powder mixed with 50 kg of fine sandy soil and broadcast evenly 5-7 days after transplanting. Keep shallow water management within 5 days after application. The use of pentachlorophenol sodium is strictly prohibited, and prometryn should be used as little as possible to reduce agricultural non-point source pollution.
(3) Apply tillering fertilizer in a timely manner. We have always advocated applying the middle-layer fertilizer once. However, for fields where no basal fertilizer was applied or insufficient middle-layer fertilizer was applied at transplanting, compound fertilizer or quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer must be applied within 15 days after transplanting. It is particularly emphasized that for rice transplanted after June 5 in fields with garlic as the previous crop, the middle-layer fertilizer should be applied all at once, and topdressing should be avoided as much as possible.
(4) Strengthen water management. After transplanting, persist in one-cun water to establish the seedlings, thin water for tillering, and drying the field once enough tillers are reached. That is: when the number of rice stems and tillers reaches 85-90% of the target productive panicles, dry the field at the appropriate time to control the maximum number of stems and tillers, reduce ineffective tillers, and increase the rate of productive panicles and large panicles. For some cold-waterlogged fields, apply zinc sulfate, drain and dry the field, and adopt alternate wetting and drying management.
(5) Carry out intertillage and weeding early to improve nutrient transformation, promote metabolism, and make the seedlings grow and develop early and grow robustly.
II. Management techniques from jointing-booting to grain-filling and maturing stage
Management focus: adequate water for booting, moist conditions for plump grains, and doing a good job in pest control.
(1) After drying the field to control seedlings, implement intermittent irrigation, keep the field moist, maintain adequate water for booting to protect the seedlings, and strictly prevent dehydration. Irrigate with shallow water at the initial heading stage.
(2) Do a good job in preventing and controlling diseases, insects, and rodents. (1) Rodents: because this year's drought is relatively severe, rodent damage has increased, especially from booting to heading stage, so rodent control is particularly important, and poisoned bait should be placed in a timely manner. (2) Armyworms and locusts: based on the current weather situation analysis, conditions are very favorable for the occurrence of these two pests, and great attention should be paid. Keep track of occurrence dynamics at all times, and achieve early control, small-scale control, and economic efficiency. (3) Rice blast: because the early drought was severe and there will be more overcast and rainy weather later, this disease may be induced. At the late tillering stage, booting stage, and initial heading stage, apply chemical control according to the incidence situation. Use 30 g of 75% tricyclazole per mu or 60-70 mL of 40% Fuji No. 1, or use 200 g of 40% sulfur-tricyclazole, etc. for control. (4) Bacterial leaf blight and rice false smut: use 100 g of 25% Deca-Kuining wettable powder and 50 g of 20% Jinggangmycin respectively for control.
