Introduction to three new hybrid late indica rice combinations including II You 7954

II You 7954 II You 7954 is a new hybrid late indica rice combination bred by the Crop Research Institute of the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In the 2001 municipal production trial, the average yield per mu was 428.2 kg, the average whole growth period was 133 days, the average effective panicles per mu were 165,300, the seed-setting rate was 82.86%, and the 1000-grain weight was 26.8 g. Its resistance identification results: moderately resistant to rice blast, moderately susceptible to bacterial leaf blight, susceptible to brown planthopper; rice quality test results: 4 indicators including brown rice rate, milled rice rate, alkali spreading value and protein content reached the first-grade standard of the ministry-issued edible high-quality rice standard. This combination has a compact plant type, large panicles and many grains, a relatively high seed-setting rate, relatively good fertilizer tolerance, good cooked rice palatability, and high seed production yield, and is suitable for planting as late rice in Wenzhou and Jinhua.
