New water dropwort variety successfully bred in Hubei
The new water dropwort variety "Eshuiqin No. 1", bred by the Wuhan Vegetable Research Institute (postcode: 430065, tel: 027-88116313), recently passed variety certification in Hubei Province. The variety has a plant height of 45-50 cm, 5.0-5.5 leaves per plant, strong adaptability, a crisp texture and a strong aroma. Every 1 kg of fresh product contains 82.04 mg of vitamin C and 0.93 g of crude fiber. The yield per 667 sq m (1 mu) reaches 3200-37
