Timely Maintenance and Repair of Agricultural Machinery After Wheat Harvest

Edible Gardening 0 views
Combine harvesters should be well maintained before heading to the field, so that they stay in good technical condition, run with fewer breakdowns, perform reliably, reduce faults, improve work efficiency, and extend service life. 1. Self-propelled combine harvesters (l) Add lubricating oil to each lubrication point daily as specified. (2) After a period of use, tighten the front wheel and rear wheel nuts; check and adjust the tension of all V-belts; check and adjust all drive chains; when the indicator light comes on, clean the dry air filter; clean the rotating wind hood and radiator; check the coolant level and top it up; check and clean the water collector; check the fuel filter, drain the accumulated water and sediment, clean the hydraulic oil tank filler port and check the oil level. Park the combine harvester on level ground, check the engine oil in the oil pan, and add oil as needed; tighten the grain unloading auger wire rope; clean the hydraulic drive oil tank filler port and check the oil level. If necessary, clean the cab filter. (3) After one quarter of use, replace the fuel filter element and replace the engine oil filter. Check the specific gravity of the battery electrolyte, and charge or top up with distilled water as needed. Check the coolant level and top it up. Clean the fuel transfer pump, check and adjust the traveling clutch clearance, check and adjust the foot brake, and adjust the hand brake cable.

2. Mounted combine harvesters (1) Tractor maintenance. The tractor must be maintained at all times to keep it in the best technical condition. Be sure to carry out maintenance according to the instructions in the operator's manual. Because harvesting works under harsh conditions, with a lot of dust and grass debris, the radiator is very easily clogged, causing the water tank to boil over, and the air filter is also prone to failure, with the filter screen becoming clogged, which at best reduces engine power and causes black smoke under heavy load, and at worst makes the starter difficult to start. Therefore, before heading to the field, the grass debris and dust on the radiator should be cleaned off, and this work should also be done frequently during breaks between shifts. Adding a fine mesh cover on the front of the machine provides good protection for the radiator. The air filter should be cleaned more often, or its position should be raised. (2) Harvester maintenance. Combine harvesters should be lubricated regularly during daily work; the technical condition and fastening of each working part should be checked; necessary adjustments should be made and any faults that have occurred should be eliminated.

The inspection and maintenance work before heading out each day should focus on parts subject to heavy load, high speed, and strong vibration, and should also check parts that wear and break easily, such as the cutter bar, connecting rods, conveyor belts, and lifting wire ropes.

Give Large Agricultural Machinery a "Home"

At the end of wheat harvest season, when the author visited villages to conduct interviews, it was seen that some farming households simply left large @#@245@#@ combine harvesters in their yards, saying that there was nowhere to house this huge machine, so they had no choice but to store it in the open.

At present, wheat harvesting has basically ended in various places, and large wheat combine harvesters have withdrawn from the "battlefield." Because the machines are too large and bulky, the farmers' original houses cannot accommodate them, and quite a few machine-owning households simply store them in the open in their yards. This practice is really inappropriate. Just think, a large combine harvester costs nearly 100,000 yuan, so it can be considered a fairly valuable item. Stored in the open, exposed to wind, sun, rain, and snow, its parts are prone to rust and alkaline corrosion, causing damage to the machine and seriously shortening its service life. Therefore, it is suggested that farming households with large wheat combine harvesters should build a special warehouse and give the "machine" a "home." This not only reduces repair costs, but also makes it handy to use the following year.
