Qieqie No. 2 eggplant is suitable for cultivation in all four seasons

"Qiangqie No. 2" is a new eggplant variety bred by the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. This variety shows a relatively upright and compact plant type, with a spread of 45×50 cm, strong growth vigor, good early maturity, and a high fruit-setting rate. The fruit is 30-35 cm long and 2.0-2.4 cm thick, with a single fruit weight of 75-85 g. It has a long continuous harvest period and high yield, generally yielding 3500-3800 kg per mu. The fruit of this variety has a bright purple color, a smooth surface, a long and straight shape, and a bluntly rounded tip that is not prone to bending, giving a high marketable rate; the skin is thin, and the flesh is white, tender, and glutinous, not prone to oxidation, with good taste. Its quality is extremely significantly superior to similar varieties, and it has strong resistance to Verticillium wilt and Phytophthora blight; it tolerates low temperature and weak light in the early stage, has good heat tolerance in the later stage, and strong waterlogging tolerance. This variety is suitable for early-maturing dense planting under protected cultivation in early spring, and for various cultivation modes such as spring-summer sowing with autumn delayed cultivation, all showing characteristics such as high and stable yield, strong disease resistance, and good marketability.
