I. Weed control in seedling fields 1. Weed control before plowing: 7-10 days before plowing the seedling bed, use 41% glyphosate 150 ml/mu or 10% glyphosate 1000 ml/mu diluted in 30 kg of water for fine spraying to control old weeds before sowing. 2. Weed control after sowing: ① 1-2 days after sowing germinated seeds, use 17.2% bensulfuron-methyl and piperophos wettable powder (Youhebao) 210 g/mu diluted in 45 kg of water for fine spraying. ② At the needle-standing stage of seedlings, use 40% bensulfuron-methyl and pretilachlor wettable

I. Weed control in seedling fields

1. Weed control before plowing

7-10 days before plowing the seedling bed, use 41% glyphosate 150 ml/mu or 10% glyphosate 1000 ml/mu diluted in 30 kg of water for fine spraying to control old weeds before sowing.

2. Weed control after sowing

① 1-2 days after sowing germinated seeds, use 17.2% bensulfuron-methyl and piperophos wettable powder (Youhebao) 210 g/mu diluted in 45 kg of water for fine spraying.

② At the needle-standing stage of seedlings, use 40% bensulfuron-methyl and pretilachlor wettable powder (Zhibojing, Leji Zhiboqing) 25 g/mu diluted in 45 kg of water for fine spraying.

Any one of the above methods can control weeds in seedling fields after sowing.

II. Pest control and disease prevention in seedling fields

In recent years, the occurrence area of stripe leaf blight in our county has been gradually expanding, and the damage has been worsening year by year. Therefore, it is crucial to do a good job in controlling the virus-transmitting insect small brown planthopper in seedling fields, direct-seeded fields, and early-stage main fields. At the same time, in recent years, the damage by sparrows and rats during the single-season rice sowing period has also been quite serious, and repellent work must be done well.

1. Seed dressing with pesticides to replace carbofuran for repelling sparrows and rats and controlling rice thrips: Take the rice seeds after soaking and germination, add seed dressing agent 35% carbosulfan (Daobancheng, Hao'anwei) at a ratio of 5 g of powder per kg of seeds, and stir back and forth to dress the seeds so that the pesticide evenly adheres to the seed surface. Sow immediately after dressing.

2. Control planthoppers and prevent disease: At the two-leaf-one-heart to three-leaf stage of seedlings, use 10% imidacloprid wettable powder (Damuzhi, Bidan) 40 g/mu diluted in 30 kg of water for spraying to control small brown planthopper.

3. Transplanting with pesticide: 3-5 days before transplanting, use 20% triazophos emulsifiable concentrate 100 ml/mu per mu of seedling field diluted in 30 kg of water for spraying, carrying out transplanting with pesticide to prevent late-emerging stem borer egg masses and early-emerging leaf roller egg masses from being brought into the main field.

III. Precautions

1. Seeds must be germinated before sowing, and the bud length should preferably be half a grain. When dressing seeds, the sprouted grains should be moist, movements should be gentle, and after the seeds are dressed, they should not be stored for too long.

2. After sowing, spray herbicides evenly, with sufficient water volume. Do not spray repeatedly or miss spots. During or after application, keep the seedling bed moist. At the two-leaf-one-heart stage, irrigate promptly to flood the seedling bed and control weeds with water.
