Never neglect agricultural machinery maintenance after the wheat harvest

Before the combine harvester goes out to the field, service the machine well so that it stays in good technical condition. Then it will have fewer breakdowns in use, run stably, reduce failures, raise work efficiency and extend the machine's service life.

1. Self-propelled combine harvesters (l) Add lubricating oil to each lubrication point every day as specified. (2) After a period of use, tighten the front wheel and rear wheel nuts; check and adjust the tension of all V-belts; check and adjust all drive chains; when the indicator light comes on, clean the dry air filter; clean the rotating fan shroud and radiator; check the coolant level and top it up; check and clean the water trap; check the fuel filter, drain the accumulated water and sediment, clean the hydraulic oil tank filler neck and check the oil level. Park the combine harvester on level ground, check the engine oil in the oil pan and add oil as needed; tension the grain unloading auger wire rope; clean the hydraulic drive oil tank filler neck and check the oil level. If necessary, clean the cab filter. (3) After one quarter of use, replace the fuel filter element and replace the engine oil filter. Check the specific gravity of the battery electrolyte and charge it or top it up with distilled water as needed. Check the coolant level and top it up. Clean the fuel feed pump, check and adjust the travel clutch clearance, check and adjust the foot brake, and adjust the hand brake cable.

2. Mounted combine harvesters (1) Tractor maintenance. Maintain the tractor at all times and keep it in the best technical condition. Be sure to carry out maintenance according to the instructions in the operator's manual. Because harvesting works under harsh conditions, with a lot of dust and grass debris, the radiator is easily clogged, causing the water tank to boil over, and the air filter also easily fails, with the filter screen becoming clogged, which at best reduces engine power and causes black smoke under heavy load, and at worst makes the starter difficult to start. Therefore, before going out to the field, clean the grass debris and dust off the radiator, and this work should also be done frequently during the intervals between each shift. Fitting a fine mesh screen over the front of the machine gives the radiator better protection. Increase the frequency of cleaning the air filter, or raise its position. (2) Harvester maintenance. Combine harvesters should be lubricated regularly in daily work; check the technical condition and fastening of each working part; carry out necessary adjustments and eliminate any faults that have already occurred.

The inspection and maintenance work before going out to the field each day should focus on the parts under heavy load, high speed and strong vibration, and should also check parts that wear and break easily, such as the cutter bar, connecting rod, conveyor belt and lifting wire rope.

Give large farm machinery a "home"

At the end of the wheat harvest season, while interviewing in a village, I saw that some farmers simply parked their large @#@245@#@ combine harvesters in the yard, saying that there was nowhere to put such a huge thing, so they had to store it in the open air.

At present, the wheat harvest in various places has basically ended, and large wheat combine harvesters have withdrawn from the "battlefield." Because the machinery is too huge and heavy, the farmers' original buildings cannot accommodate it, and many machine-owning households simply store it in the open air in their yards. This practice is really inappropriate. Just think, a large combine harvester costs nearly 100,000 yuan, so it can be called a relatively valuable item. Stored in the open air, exposed to wind, sun, rain and snow, its parts easily rust and corrode, causing damage to the machinery and seriously shortening its service life. Therefore, it is suggested that farmers who own large wheat combine harvesters build a special warehouse and give the "machine" a "home." This not only reduces repair costs but also makes it handy to use the following year.
