This variety was developed by hybridization. Plant height about 100 cm, strong tillering ability, leaves held upright, good color retention at maturity, relatively strong disease resistance and lodging resistance. The rice quality is crystal clear and translucent with good eating quality; new rice comes to market early, increasing returns by 0.4-0.6 yuan per kg of rice. High yield; in variety comparison and demonstration trials from 1997 to 1999, the average yield per mu was 500.5 kg

This variety was developed by crossing Xindao 68-11 as the female parent and Zhengjing 107 as the male parent. It passed provincial approval in Henan in 1998. Characteristics: moderate maturity, more than 10 days earlier than Yujing 6. Compact plant type, thick and sturdy stems, leaves held upright. Weak tillering ability, high percentage of productive tillers, large panicles with many grains. Plant height 105 cm. Grains per panicle more than 120, good grain filling, 1000-grain weight 26-27 g. Excellent rice quality, small chalkiness, brown rice rate 83%, milled rice rate 75%, head rice rate 69%. Strong disease resistance and lodging resistance, good color retention at maturity.
