Detailed Introduction to the Huamai No. 3 Wheat Variety
Long awns, white glumes, white kernels, spindle-shaped spikes, semi-hard grains. Seedlings are semi-upright with dark green leaves; cold resistance and resistance to late spring cold are average, and tillering ability is average. The plant type is relatively compact, the spike layer is neat, and the maturity appearance is relatively good. Plant height is about 82 cm, and lodging resistance is relatively good. The whole growth period is about 223 days, comparable to the control. The number of effective spikes per mu is about 360,000, about 30 grains per spike, and the 1,000-grain weight is about 46 g. Inoculation identification results: susceptible to Fusarium head blight and sheath blight, highly susceptible to wheat spindle streak mosaic virus, moderately resistant to pre-harvest sprouting. Field performance shows moderate susceptibility to powdery mildew, sheath blight, and Fusarium head blight. The two-year average quality analysis results: crude protein content 13.9%, wet gluten content 30.9%, stability time 8.8 minutes; it is a strong-gluten variety.
