How does the rice variety Xindao 97203 perform?

This variety was developed in 1997 by crossing Yujing 6 with Xindao 89402. Characteristics: moderate growth period, maturing more than 10 days earlier than Yujing 6; when grown as a wheat-stubble rice in the Yellow River rice region, the full growth period is about 140 days. Good plant type, leaves held upright, panicles erect, plant height about 100 cm. Strong tillering ability, high panicle-setting rate, 230,000-240,000 panicles per mu, 100-110 grains per panicle, 1000-grain weight 25 g-26 g. High yield; in the early-maturing group variety comparison, average yield per mu 632.5 kg, with the highest reaching 679.0 kg. Excellent grain quality, semi-transparent glassy endosperm, few white bellies. Brown rice rate 84%, milled rice rate 75%, head rice rate 72%, meeting the national first-grade rice standard.
