How good is the Super Large Grain King rice variety?

Zhezao 15 is a super-high-yield early indica rice new line developed by mutagenesis treatment using the super-high-yield genetic advantage of "Zhe 18500". After multi-point trial planting as early rice by the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the yield generally reaches more than 600 kg per 667 sq m (1 mu). The characteristics and advantages of Zhezao 15 are introduced as follows:

1. Extremely strong tillering ability, low seed requirement. The effective tillers per plant can reach 12-15, and 1 kg of seed per 667 sq m of field is sufficient.

2. Cold tolerance at the seedling stage, disease resistance at the later stage. Strong cold tolerance at the seedling stage, so sowing can be appropriately advanced. Disease resistance at the later stage, especially strong resistance to rice blast.

3. Large panicles with many grains, high seed-setting rate. Panicle length 23.5 cm, about 250 grains per panicle, more than 300 grains for large panicles, seed-setting rate above 85%, 1000-grain weight 26 g.

4. Moderate growth period. When planted as early rice in the double-cropping rice region of southern China, the total growth period is generally 110-113 days.

5. Super high yield, rice quality is of grade. Generally 600 kg can be produced per 667 sq m. High cooked-rice volume, and it can be used as food grain, processing grain and converted into feed grain.
