What Harm Can Herbicide Damage Cause to Schisandra chinensis

Medicinal Herb Cultivation 0 views
I. Soil-residual herbicide damage 1. Symptoms. In the middle of the growing season the leaves wilt, recovering their upright posture in the morning and evening; the plants become rigid and stop growing, similar to drought, and the root system develops slowly. 2. Cause. Damage from triazine, sulfonylurea, imidazolinone and similar herbicides. 3. Preventive measures. (1) Any farmland that has been treated with long-residual herbicides such as triazines, sulfonylureas and imidazolinones must not be planted with Schisandra chinensis within two years. (2) If symptoms are found, drench the roots with COMPO Kapco 500 times dilution, and spray the foliage with Bihu, Yecui

I. Soil-residual herbicide damage

(2) If symptoms are found, drench the roots with COMPO Kapco 500 times dilution, and spray the foliage with Bihu, Yecui and similar products at 300-500 times dilution.

II. Herbicide drift damage

1. Symptoms. In spring the new functional leaves curl; in severe cases the leaves turn black, wither and drop. Herbicide drift damage that occurs during the flowering period causes the petals to wilt, with the petals dropping early, pollen viability declining or the pollen dying, making pollination difficult and resulting in flowers that do not set fruit.

2. Cause. Damage from 2,4-D butyl ester and similar herbicides.

3. Preventive measures.

(1) It is recommended to use 2,4-D isooctyl ester instead of 2,4-D butyl ester.

(2) If symptoms are found, spray with COMPO Kapco 500 times dilution plus fulvic acid foliar fertilizer.
