What is Annual Ryegrass Dabao? Detailed product introduction
Annual ryegrass, also known as Italian ryegrass, is an extra-tall, broad-leaf type annual grass forage crop. It thrives in a cool, humid climate. In Guangdong, it is mainly sown in late autumn on winter-fallow farmland, along ditches, and on pond banks where water and fertilizer conditions are good, and is cut for use in winter and spring. Annual ryegrass is currently the best-quality forage variety, and its main advantages are: 1. Fast growth and high yield. Annual ryegrass can be cut for the first time one and a half months after sowing, and thereafter every 20-30 days. During the entire winter-fallow period (4-5 months), it can be cut 4-5 times, with a fresh grass yield of more than 10000 kg per mu; 2. High nutritional value and good palatability. Annual ryegrass is rich in protein, minerals and vitamins, with a crude protein content in hay of up to more than 20%. It has many leaves and is tender, with especially good palatability, and all kinds of livestock, poultry and fish like to eat it; 3. It builds soil fertility and promotes the growth of the subsequent rice crop. Annual ryegrass and its root system are rich in nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, making it a very good green manure. After one year of planting, it can increase soil organic matter by 27%, increase early rice yield by 14%, and increase late rice yield by 7%.
