Introduction to the grain crop wheat variety Yangfumai No. 2
Main characteristics: spring habit. Long awns, white glumes, red kernels, semi-hard endosperm. 280,000 spikes per mu, 33 grains per spike, 1,000-grain weight 40 g. Moderately resistant to leaf rust, moderately susceptible to powdery mildew. Test weight 757.5 g/L, crude protein content 12.3%, wet gluten content 21.8%, sedimentation value 30.4 mL, water absorption 55.1%, stability time 1.9 minutes, maximum resistance to extension 421.5 e.u, extensibility 15.1 cm, extension area 84.9 sq cm.
Key cultivation techniques: the suitable sowing period is from late October to early November, with about 150,000 basic seedlings per mu; apply sufficient base fertilizer and apply seedling fertilizer early to prevent excessive or late nitrogen application in the later stage from affecting weak-gluten quality; adopt measures such as seed dressing with paclobutrazol and controlling fertilizer and water at the jointing stage to prevent lodging.
Suitable areas: planting in Jiangsu, the Huainan region of Anhui, southern Henan, the Xiangfan region of Hubei, Zhejiang and other places in the wheat region of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
