Introduction to the Jiudao 27 Rice Variety and Its Characteristics

Jiudao 27 was bred by the Rice Research Institute of the Jilin City Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Plant height is 105 cm, tillering ability is above average, each panicle averages around 100 grains, the seed-setting rate is above 90.0%, and the 1000-grain weight is 26 g. It is moderately susceptible to leaf blast and panicle blast, but is resistant to lodging and has good palatability. The usual yield is 600-667 kg/667 sq m, and the full growth period is 141 days. It is suitable for planting in the mid-to-late maturing rice areas of Jilin Province with an active accumulated temperature of 2800°C. Wuyoudao 1 was introduced from Heilongjiang Province by the Jilin Province Seed Station and other units. The full growth period is about 138 days, plant height is 97 cm, each panicle averages 120 grains, and the 1000-grain weight is 25 g. The usual yield is 567-600 kg/667 sq m. It has strong tillering ability, good grain quality, and excellent eating quality. It is suitable for planting in the mid-to-late maturing rice areas of Jilin Province with an active accumulated temperature of 2700-2800°C.
