Softwood cutting is a new technique that has emerged in recent years. Its biggest feature is a high propagation rate, saving cuttings and land. 200 cuttings can be planted per sq m, with a survival rate above 70%. Therefore, this propagation method is widely adopted in production. 1. Cutting time: In production, cuttings are mostly taken from May to July. Cuttings taken after August have a short growth period, and the seedlings are too small to leave the nursery that same year; they can be kept in the bed the following year and cultivated into large seedlings, and the side branches they produce are also very good cuttings. 2. Cutting collection: From excellent varieties or excellent individual plants

2. Cutting collection: Collect semi-lignified branches from excellent varieties or excellent individual plants, cut them into lengths of 3 to 4 nodes, leave the shoot tips 6 to 8 nodes long, and keep the leaves to help survival.

3. Cutting treatment: Use Goji Rooting Agent No. 1 diluted 2500 times with water, then add talcum powder and mix into a paste, or use Goji Rooting Agent No. 2 diluted 1000 times with water, quickly dip the lower end of the cuttings 1 to 1.5 cm, and then insert them.

4. Cutting method: Mark points at a row spacing of 5 cm x 10 cm, use a thin twig to make small holes 1 cm to 2 cm deep in the sand bed, insert the cuttings dipped in rooting agent into the holes, fill with fine sand, and press down lightly with fingers. Then spray water, cover with a plastic arch shed and shade it, so that the light transmittance is about 30% of natural light, the relative humidity is above 80%, and the temperature is 30°C to 34°C.
