Fertilize in a timely manner. After eggplants bloom and bear fruit, apply a root drench of nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer and high-quality organic fertilizer once every 15-20 days, applying 10 kg of nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer and 15 kg of fully soaked and decomposed soybeans per mu each time.
Foliar topdressing. During the flowering and fruiting period of eggplants, spray the leaves once every 7-10 days with a mixture of 0.1% magnesium sulfate, 0.2% urea, and 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate, or spray with 3000-fold Aiduoshou plus Fengshou No. 1, for 2-3 consecutive sprays, to rapidly raise the nutrient level of the leaves, keep them dark green, prevent leaf yellowing, delay plant decline, ensure continuous flowering and fruiting of eggplants, improve fruit set, and extend the harvest period.
Hill up soil to protect the roots. During the flowering and fruiting period of eggplants, apply fully decomposed farmyard manure, pond mud, and burnt soil around the base of the plants, applying 2-3 kg per plant, 3-5 cm thick, to cover exposed roots, protect the root system, prevent decline, and enhance absorption capacity.
