Symptoms of chive Fusarium wilt: In hot seasons, it may suddenly break out within 2 to 3 hours after rain followed by blazing sun. Water-scalded symptoms appear in the middle of the leaves or at the leaf tips touching the ground, and in severe cases all leaves show these symptoms and then completely die. Although diseased root clumps may sprout new plants, sometimes the new sprouts will still continue to develop the disease, and they can only slowly recover after autumn. However, the yield and quality of the chives have already been seriously affected. Therefore, timely prevention and control are necessary to avoid huge losses.

Prevention and control methods: Vigorous chive plants are less severely affected. In management, measures should be taken to prevent excessive vegetative growth, enhance the planting's disease resistance, drain water promptly after rain, and immediately give one quick watering with well water after hot, muggy rain. During the disease period, use 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder at 600 times dilution or 58% metalaxyl-mancozeb wettable powder at 500 times dilution, spraying once every 5 to 7 days for 2 to 3 consecutive sprays.
