Key Technical Points and Fertilization Methods for Topdressing Summer Peanuts
Fertilization should follow the "two topdressings, one spray, four supplements" approach. Specifically: the two topdressings are, first, early topdressing before the peanut plants form a full cluster, with 10 kg urea, 15 kg diammonium phosphate and 10 kg potassium chloride; the second topdressing is at the early stage of young pod swelling, generally 10 kg urea per mu. Fertilization should follow the "two topdressings, one spray, four supplements" approach. Specifically:
The two topdressings are: the first topdressing before the peanut plants form a full cluster, applied early, with 10 kg urea, 15 kg diammonium phosphate and 10 kg potassium chloride; the second topdressing at the early stage of young pod swelling, generally 10 kg urea per mu.
The one spray is: in the late growth stage, per mu use 0.5 kg urea plus 0.2 kg monopotassium phosphate dissolved in 50 kg water for foliar spraying 2-3 times, to prevent premature senescence.
The four supplements are: supplemental application of calcium fertilizer, molybdenum fertilizer, iron fertilizer and boron fertilizer. For calcium fertilizer, use phosphogypsum; before the peanut rows close, apply 50 kg phosphogypsum per mu shallowly into the pod-bearing layer. For molybdenum fertilizer, use ammonium molybdate; at the seedling stage, spray twice with a 0.05% ammonium molybdate solution. For iron fertilizer, use ferrous sulfate; after rain or irrigation, spray 2-3 times consecutively with a 0.2% ferrous sulfate solution. For boron fertilizer, use boric acid; spray twice with a 0.1% boric acid solution at the beginning of flowering and full flowering stages.
