What are the main diseases of mung bean? Detailed explanation of control methods

Edible Gardening 0 views
When planting mung bean, chemical fertilizers cannot be used as fertilizer, and nitrogen-containing fertilizers should be avoided even more. Moreover, sowing cannot be done before rain, and when sowing, the seedlings should be even, so that balanced nutrition can be ensured. The field should be inspected in time, and areas with missing seedlings should be replanted in time, with seedlings thinned at the 4-leaf stage. In poor plots, during the seedling stage every...
With the development of the market economy, the mung bean planting area has expanded year by year, and mung bean diseases have also gradually increased. The following are the main mung bean diseases and their control.
    I. Viral disease
    (I) Symptoms
This disease occurs very commonly, with more cases at the seedling stage. In the field, it mainly shows as mosaic mottling, crinkled mosaic, and so on. When the disease is mild, plants show mosaic and mottled symptoms at the seedling stage. When the disease is severe, seedlings appear as crinkled, small-leaved, clustered mosaic plants, with deformed, crinkled leaves, raised leaf mesophyll forming blister-like spots, and obvious crinkled mosaic with alternating yellow and green.
    (II) Conditions for disease onset
    1. Sowing diseased seeds causes direct disease onset. 2. A large number of aphids in the mung bean field leads to severe disease. 3. Windy and rainy weather causes friction between plants and aggravates transmission.
    (III) Control methods
    1. Select disease-free or disease-tolerant varieties, and control aphids. 2. In the early stage of disease onset, use 20% Bingdu Bi or 20% Bingdu A 500-fold solution for spray control, spraying once every 7-10 days, generally 2-3 sprays.
    II. Leaf spot disease
    (I) Symptoms
When mung bean is affected, small water-soaked spots first appear on the leaves, then expand into round or irregular brown blighted spots, and later become large necrotic spots, causing drying or leaf drop.
    (II) Conditions for disease onset
The occurrence of this disease is closely related to temperature and humidity. Under conditions of 85%-90% relative humidity and a temperature of 25-28°C, the pathogen's conidia germinate most rapidly; when the temperature reaches 32°C, mycelial growth is most vigorous and the disease develops most rapidly. In our city, the disease is generally more severe during the mung bean flowering stage and after rain with high temperatures.
     (III) Control methods
    1. Select disease-resistant varieties, plant at a reasonable density, and ensure good field ventilation. 2. Strengthen field management, and pay attention to draining or dispersing soil moisture after heavy rain. 3. In the early stage of disease onset, use 70% mancozeb 500-fold solution, or 41% Texiao Shajun Wang 2000-fold solution, or 20% Landi 500-fold solution for spray control. Spray once every 7-10 days, for 2-3 consecutive sprays, which can effectively control the disease epidemic.
    III. Root rot
    (I) Symptoms
In the early stage of disease onset, the heart leaves turn yellow. If the root system is pulled out for observation, the lower part of the stem and the upper part of the main root can be seen as dark brown and slightly sunken. When the stem is cut open, the vascular bundles turn dark brown. When most of the root has rotted, the plant wilts and dies.
    (II) Control methods
    1. Choose disease-resistant varieties, and carry out crop rotation with non-legume crops for more than 3 years. 2. Cultivate in time, drain water after rain, and increase soil temperature. 3. In the early stage of disease onset, use 75% chlorothalonil 600-fold solution, or 15% Fulaning 600-fold solution, or 70% thiophanate-methyl 1000-fold solution for spraying, once every 7-10 days, for 2-3 consecutive sprays. If the above agents are used for irrigation, the effect is even better.
