How do you prevent and control waterlogged root rot when growing Welsh onions? Please advise

Waterlogged root rot is one of the common diseases in vegetable seedling cultivation, and for Welsh onions it also commonly occurs at the adult plant stage.
Prevention and control measures: (1) Stabilize the soil temperature, promote the development of strong seedlings, improve disease resistance, and raise the seedbed temperature to above 20°C. (2) Reduce field humidity. Excessive field humidity is the key factor causing waterlogged root rot. After watering the seedbed thoroughly before sowing, water as little as possible or not at all; when necessary, water frequently in small amounts, and never use flooding irrigation. On rainy days or when field humidity is too high, plant ash or fine dry soil can be scattered on the seedbed to reduce field humidity. (3) Improve soil aeration conditions. When planting Welsh onions, choose sandy loam soil as much as possible, and apply a large amount of decomposed organic fertilizer to improve soil structure, enhance soil buffering capacity, and improve aeration and air permeability conditions, so as to reduce the occurrence of waterlogged root rot.
