Cucumber is a high-yield vegetable that sets fruit early and has a long fruiting period, and its growing period requires a large amount of fertilizer. Generally, producing 1000 kg of cucumber requires 2.6 kg of pure nitrogen, 1.5 kg of phosphorus pentoxide and 3.5 kg of potassium oxide. In production, fertilizer must be applied in time to meet the nutritional needs of cucumber growth and development. Before cucumber transplanting, apply 5000-7500 kg of high-quality organic fertilizer, 25-30 kg of phosphate fertilizer and 1 kg of biological bacterial fertilizer per mu as a base fertilizer.
When cucumber enters the early fruiting stage, carry out the first topdressing, applying 10-15 kg of nitrogen fertilizer and 15-20 kg each of phosphate fertilizer and potassium fertilizer per mu. After that, apply fertilizer once every 7-10 days together with watering, for a total of 8-10 topdressings throughout the cucumber growing period. You can also mix a 0.3% chemical fertilizer concentration with Zenggualing for foliar spraying.
